Why it was built

Built for a large restaurant that does much of its business in private rooms and banquets. The site has to show the rooms and courses, help families pick the right room and turn that into a reservation request.

The sample business

A large Korean-Chinese restaurant on Garden Grove Boulevard with four private rooms and a hall for 120, booked for first birthdays, company dinners and family meetings. Families choose it by the room, the course and how easy it is to book, so the site has a page for each and a request form that suggests the right room.

What the site does

  • Lists the full menu in three tabs, dishes, noodles and rice, and courses, with Korean names beside each
  • Shows four rooms by party size, each with a drawn seating plan of its round tables
  • Sets out banquet courses for 돌잔치, company dinners and family meetings
  • Takes reservation requests and suggests the room that fits the party size
  • Gives directions, parking and driving notes, plus hours and menu data for search

Pages

  • Home — the moon gate opening, dishes to share, the occasions, the banquet hall, hours and a takeout button
  • Menu — dishes, noodles and rice, and courses in three tabs, with dish photos and Korean names
  • Rooms and Banquets — four rooms with seating plans, banquet courses and how booking works
  • Reservations — a request form that suggests the room that fits the party size
  • Directions — map, address, parking, accessibility and driving routes from nearby areas

How it moves

  • 운해루 rises a letter at a time while the lattice moon gate opens onto the banquet table
  • Smooth scrolling; titles rise line by line, photos uncover and drift, round plates turn like a lazy susan
  • Pointing at a dish brings its real photo into the round frame; menu tabs fade from one list to the next
  • Seating plans set their chairs round each table, and an ink lattice veil covers each page change

Who it suits

  • Korean-Chinese and Chinese banquet restaurants
  • Restaurants with private rooms for first birthdays and company dinners
  • Large family-style restaurants with a banquet hall
  • Dim sum and seafood restaurants that book big parties

Make it yours

Swap in the restaurant's name, logo, photos, menu, rooms, banquet courses, hours and address. Connect the domain, send reservation requests to the restaurant's email, and connect the takeout button to its online ordering link. One idea is a photo gallery of past first-birthday and banquet setups for each room.

  • Use it as isYour name, logo, photos and details go in, your domain is connected, and it opens with this design.
  • Build on itKeep what works for you and we change the rest around your business: layout, colors, pages and features.

The business is fictional: names, addresses and phone numbers are samples. The site itself works as you see it.
