Why it was built

Built for a takeout and delivery restaurant where most orders come in by phone. The site has to show the food big, put call and delivery buttons in the first screen, and make the hours and delivery area clear.

The sample business

A family-run jajangmyeon and jjamppong shop on Western Avenue that lives on phone orders and delivery. Customers decide in seconds, so the site puts the call and delivery buttons in the first screen, then shows the food big, the full menu wall, the hours and the delivery area.

What the site does

  • Opens on the shop name as a lit signboard, with call and delivery buttons in the first screen
  • Shows seven signature dishes as large photos, numbered like a delivery flyer, with Korean and English names
  • Puts the full menu wall up as an image that opens full size
  • Lists hours and delivery hours, with a line that says whether the shop is open right now in Los Angeles time
  • Gives the delivery area, address, parking and a drawn neighborhood map with directions

Pages

  • One page — hero under a lit signboard, with call and delivery order buttons
  • About — two lines on the family kitchen, with a photo of the shop
  • Signature dishes — seven big photos numbered like a delivery flyer, with Korean and English names
  • Menu board — the full wall menu as an image that opens full size
  • Hours and delivery — hours, an open-now line in LA time and the delivery area
  • Visit — address, cross street, parking, phone, a drawn map and directions

How it moves

  • A sweep of light chases round the bulbs of the signboard
  • Sections rise into place once as you scroll
  • Dish photos zoom in slightly on hover and the buttons press down like sign plates

Who it suits

  • Korean-Chinese jajangmyeon and jjamppong shops
  • Pizza, chicken and other delivery-first restaurants
  • Takeout counters that take most orders by phone
  • Family-run neighborhood restaurants

Make it yours

Swap in the shop's name, sign, dish photos, menu board, hours, delivery area and address. Connect the domain, set the call button to the shop's number and connect the delivery button to the delivery or online ordering service it uses. One idea is a Korean version of the page for customers who order in Korean.

  • Use it as isYour name, logo, photos and details go in, your domain is connected, and it opens with this design.
  • Build on itKeep what works for you and we change the rest around your business: layout, colors, pages and features.

Taken as it is, this demo is a Basic build. See what each level includes →

The business is fictional: names, addresses and phone numbers are samples. The site itself works as you see it.
