Why it was built

Built for a brand launching one premium product in the US. The page has to show the product from every side and from the inside, so a buyer sees what they are paying for before adding it to the bag.

The sample business

GOYO is an audio house in Seoul bringing its first over-ear headphones, the $449 GOYO One, to the US. Shoppers expect a premium audio page to show what is inside and why it costs what it does. So the headphones were designed first, from what they need to do to a millimetre spec and materials, then modelled in Blender, and the page shows that same product from every side and from the inside.

What the site does

  • Shows the headphones in real-time 3D, modelled in Blender from the product spec, with photos rendered from it
  • Turns them as you scroll, tags the nappa, aluminium, sliders and cushion, and lets you turn them by hand
  • Takes the near ear cup apart in five layers, from the outer cap to the ear pad, each with its own callout
  • Moves in on the 40 mm driver beside the frequency response, codecs and Bluetooth
  • Shows noise cancelling with a Quiet, Aware and Off switch and a decibel readout
  • Recolors the model in Onggi, Baekja, Meok and Cheongja, carried into a buy bar and panel with US shipping

Pages

  • One page — a scroll story from the hero to the buy panel, with a sticky buy bar
  • Design — the 3D headphones turn with the scroll or by hand, with material tags
  • Inside — the ear cup comes apart in five layers, each with a callout
  • Sound and noise cancelling — driver close-up, frequency response, codecs and a mode switch
  • Colors — four colorways that recolor the 3D model
  • Comfort, battery and specs — photos, battery hours, the full spec list and what is in the box
  • Buy — color, quantity and a bag drawer; checkout is turned off in the demo

How it moves

  • The headphones rise out of the hero as its copy lifts away
  • They turn a full circle with the page inside a dial of tick marks
  • The near cup comes apart toward you layer by layer, with fine lines drawn out to each callout
  • The camera moves in close on the driver
  • The model changes color as you scroll, with the color's Korean name large behind it

Who it suits

  • Consumer electronics brands launching one flagship product in the US
  • Audio, camera and small-appliance makers with a 3D or CAD model of the product
  • Hardware startups moving from a crowdfunding page to their own store
  • Design-led products whose materials and build need explaining

Make it yours

Swap in your name, logo, a 3D model of your product, photos, specs and colorways. Connect your domain, and a store platform such as Shopify can be connected for checkout. One idea is to rebuild the teardown around the real layers inside your own product.

  • Use it as isYour name, logo, photos and details go in, your domain is connected, and it opens with this design.
  • Build on itKeep what works for you and we change the rest around your business: layout, colors, pages and features.

Taken as it is, this demo is a Premium build. See what each level includes →

The business is fictional: names, addresses and phone numbers are samples. The site itself works as you see it.
