Why it was built

Built for a quick lunch counter where most customers decide in a minute, often on a break. The site has to show the sets and best sellers in big photos, say whether it is open right now and make calling or ordering pickup one tap.

The sample business

A roll and poke counter on the upper level of a Cerritos shopping center, busiest at weekday lunch. Shoppers and office workers decide in a minute, so the one page leads with the three lunch sets and big photos of what regulars order, and shows whether the counter is open and how to find it inside the mall.

What the site does

  • Opens on a bold headline and the call and pickup buttons beside one roll on a blue and peach backdrop
  • Shows three weekday lunch sets, A, B and C, each with a photo and what comes with it
  • Shows six signature dishes, four rolls and two poke bowls, each marked raw, cooked or spicy
  • Puts up the full menu board, typeset in the shop's colors, as an image that opens full size
  • Gives the mall hours with a line that says whether the counter is open right now, and when lunch specials end
  • Explains where it is inside the shopping center, with a drawn map of the food court and the parking bridge

Pages

  • Opening (the whole site is one page) — headline, call and pickup buttons, open-now badge
  • Lunch sets — three weekday sets with photos, what comes with each and a pickup button
  • Signature dishes — four rolls and two poke bowls, each marked raw, cooked or spicy
  • Menu board — the full menu as one image that opens full size
  • Hours — the week's hours, whether it is open now and when the lunch sets end
  • Find us — where it is inside the shopping center, parking, pickup shelf and a drawn map

How it moves

  • The hero roll slides in along its backdrop as the page opens, and the open-now badge follows
  • Sections rise into place once as you scroll
  • Dish photos zoom slightly on hover

Who it suits

  • Sushi roll and poke shops
  • Food court and shopping mall counters
  • Lunch spots near offices that run on call-ahead and pickup orders
  • Rice bowl, dosirak or banh mi shops with a short menu
  • Small takeout counters in plazas and strip malls

Make it yours

Swap in your name, logo, dish photos, sets, menu board and prices, hours and address. Connect your domain; the call buttons ring your phone, and the pickup buttons can be connected to your online ordering link, such as Toast, Square or ChowNow. You could also add a party-tray section for office orders.

  • Use it as isYour name, logo, photos and details go in, your domain is connected, and it opens with this design.
  • Build on itKeep what works for you and we change the rest around your business: layout, colors, pages and features.

Taken as it is, this demo is a Basic build. See what each level includes →

The business is fictional: names, addresses and phone numbers are samples. The site itself works as you see it.
