Why it was built

Built for a skincare brand bringing products with unfamiliar ingredients to the US. The site has to explain each ingredient, help shoppers choose what to use together and show labels written for the US market.

The sample business

STRAND SEOUL is a Korean skincare brand built on PDRN and peptides, bringing five products to the US. Shoppers want to know what each ingredient does and what to use together, and a Korean label cannot go on a US shelf as it is, so the site explains the ingredients and shows the US version of every label.

What the site does

  • Explains PDRN in three scenes, from a fragment breaking off the strand to 1.0% counting up
  • Builds an AM and PM routine from skin type, up to two concerns and 3 or 5 steps, and adds it to the cart
  • Lists about 16 ingredients with Korean and INCI names, what each does and which products carry it
  • Flips each label between Korean and US versions, with claim wording, units, INCI names and distributor line
  • Sells five products, two sets and Subscribe & Save at 15% off, with a free-shipping bar from $50

Pages

  • Home — the DNA helix hero, an ingredient explainer, the five-step shelf, labels and reviews
  • Shop — five products and two sets, Subscribe & Save and a cart drawer; checkout is off in the demo
  • Product pages — key ingredients, how to use, the Korean and US labels, full list and pairings
  • Routine finder — skin type, up to two concerns and 3 or 5 steps, then the routine goes in the cart
  • Ingredients — a searchable dictionary of about 16 ingredients, filtered by role and linked to products

How it moves

  • About 240 points turn as a DNA helix, unzip with the scroll and gather into the serum bottle
  • Grid lines draw in like an instrument calibrating while small counters tick
  • The line-up slides along a glass shelf as you scroll, with refraction on hover
  • Label text scrambles from Korean to English as the units change
  • A lilac slide-glass wipe passes between pages

Who it suits

  • K-beauty brands entering the US market
  • Skincare lines built around one key ingredient
  • Ingredient-led beauty brands that sell routines and sets
  • Brands that need to show both a home-market label and a US label

Make it yours

Swap in your name, logo, product photos, ingredient data, labels and prices. Connect your domain, and a store platform such as Shopify can be connected for checkout and subscriptions. One idea is to replace the helix with an animation of your own key ingredient.

  • Use it as isYour name, logo, photos and details go in, your domain is connected, and it opens with this design.
  • Build on itKeep what works for you and we change the rest around your business: layout, colors, pages and features.

This demo is a store: selling online needs the store option (Shopify Headless). See what each level includes →

The business is fictional: names, addresses and phone numbers are samples. The site itself works as you see it.
